Thinking Challenges and Math

About me - Yael Tal

I'm a mother of three boys: Ido (14), Elad (12) and Yoav (9).

 

I have an M.Sc. in Math and Statistics.

 

I worked as a statistical analyst, and have been teaching math and statistics for the last 19 years, to both children and adults. I have been Teaching the Math-Olympiad class and as well as coaching and preparing teams for the Silicon Valley Math Tournament.

 

Six years ago I built from scratch a new class “Thinking Challenges and Math”, and have been teaching this class ever since.

 

This class encourages creative thinking in an engaging atmosphere. I use many kinds of visualizations, math-magic and logic games.  I also present lots of questions and experiments that are based on counter intuitive math problems and common errors.

 

I am passionate about teaching and developing my own creative and engaging materials.
