Thinking Challenges and Math

About Me

I'm Yael Tal, a passionate educator and mother of three curious boys. I’ve been teaching math and statistics for over 25 years—guiding students from all ages and levels through meaningful and creative learning experiences.

In addition to teaching Math Olympiad and coaching competitive teams, I created and continue to teach Thinking Challenges and Math—a hands-on, puzzle-based course that sparks critical thinking through visualizations, games, and magical math moments.

For me, teaching isn’t just a job—it’s a creative mission to help students enjoy the beauty of thinking and problem-solving.
